Saintfield Estate (Leader: Ken Orr)
NB: This is on the Belfast side of Saintfield, not to be confused with Rowallane, the National Trust property.
From Belfast, follow the Saintfield Rd (A24 and then A7 from Carryduff) to the lights at the middle of Saintfield village, and turn right up Main St. At the top of village there is a mini-roundabout. Go straight across on the B6, but at the next Y-junction, don’t take the B6 (towards Temple) – instead fork right on the right onto the Old Belfast Rd. Carry on following the estate wall on the right until you see a large entrance with No.71 on a pillar. Turn in there and along the drive to the house; go straight on past the house and park to the left, just before the farm buildings.
NB: No dogs allowed due to the pheasants!
GRADE: Woodland trails, mostly flat; can be muddy.
