Koinonia meets between October and March and provides an opportunity for friendship and good conversation. The name comes from a Greek word used by the early Church to describe its sense of community, or Christian fellowship.
We have a programme of talks on a range of interesting subjects.
Koinonia began its new season in October with guest speaker Alex Kane, the well-known local political commentator, columnist and journalist. Alex has spoken at Newtownbreda on previous occasions and was invited back due to his fascinating and insightful social commentary relating to current affairs and other topical issues. Alex’s time with Koinonia was thought provoking and entertaining and we look forward to hearing from him again in the near future. Everyone is welcome to Koinonia, especially new members. It is a time to share and learn.
Members meet over tea/coffee at 10.30 am on alternate Thursday mornings with a suggested donation of £3. Our guest speaker is introduced at 11.00 am and we finish around 12 noon. We also organise an annual Christmas lunch and summer outing.
