A brief communion service for Sunday School teachers and Sunday Club leaders will be held in the Minister’s Room in the Halls at 11:45am this morning.

孩童耶穌在聖殿聽道

41 每年到逾越節,他父母就上耶路撒冷去。 42 當他十二歲的時候,他們按著節期的規矩上去。 43 守滿了節期,他們回去,孩童耶穌仍舊在耶路撒冷,他的父母並不知道, 44 以為他在同行的人中間。走了一天的路程,就在親族和熟識的人中找他, 45 既找不著,就回耶路撒冷去找他。 46 過了三天,就遇見他在殿裡,坐在教師中間,一面聽一面問。

順從父母

47 凡聽見他的,都稀奇他的聰明和他的應對。 48 他父母看見就很稀奇。他母親對他說:「我兒,為什麼向我們這樣行呢?看哪,你父親和我傷心來找你!」 49 耶穌說:「為什麼找我呢?豈不知我應當以我父的事為念嗎?[a]」 50 他所說的這話,他們不明白。 51 他就同他們下去,回到拿撒勒,並且順從他們。他母親把這一切的事都存在心裡。

Our first speaker in the New Year will be Bronagh McAtasney, from the NI Digital Screen Archive, who will present some interesting and amusing highlights from our past.

Always a popular event, all welcome on Thursday 9 January at 10.30 am.

 

COFFEE & CHAT

Coffee & Chat will recommence on Friday 10 January 2025 at 10.30 am.

Members and new members will be made very welcome. We wish everyone a very happy and blessed New Year.

 

PW starts back on Monday 13 January at 7.45. Looking forward to Hannah’s talk: “Living Well-food and activity”. All welcome.

PW are very pleased to announce that the total amount raised at their Christmas concert on 13 December is £2,440 which goes towards PW Overseas and Home projects. We want to thank everyone for their great support and hard work but in particular Rev Paul for his ticket design, the Churchsuite team for their expertise and all the PW committee and members.

 

KIRK SESSION and CONGREGATIONAL COMMITTEE

There will be a joint meeting of Kirk Session and the Congregational Committee at 7.15 pm on Tuesday 14 January in the Megaw Room.  Please note the revised time for this meeting.

 

ORMEAU CHURCHES TOGETHER will complete the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity with their usual Big Breakfast so please save the date Saturday 18 January at 9:00am in Good Shepherd Church Hall

NB We will have a very important guest speaker – Rev. Paul!
