ANNOUNCEMENTS

Messy Church will take place this afternoon from 3.00-4.00pm. In our Sunday clubs we’ve been following the Exodus story with Moses. In Messy Church we’ll explore the faith of Rahab and Joshua and God’s very curious command at Jericho. We’d love you to join us!

KOINONIA

Our speaker on Thursday 23 February will be Chris Scott, a former funeral director, whose talk is entitled ‘The Last Man to Let You Down’.  He will talk about the various changing traditions around funerals over the past hundred years; all donations Chris receives from his talks go to Marie Curie. Meet at 10.30 and all welcome.

⚜️You are invited to the Big Breakfast – Saturday, 1 March ⚜️

This summer, three members of the 62nd Belfast Scout Group will travel to Cambodia in August 2025 as part of the Scouts NI cohort, who are going with Habitat for Humanity. Each participant has a total of £2,500 to fundraise by the end of June 2025, where it is expected that they will host local fundraising activities for their local communities to assist them in reaching their goals. As part of the experience, the group will be aiming to build two houses in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, and also participating in community projects and cultural activities with local villages.

On Saturday, 1 March 2025 from 10:00am to 12:30pm, the 62nd Belfast Scout Group will be hosting the ‘Big Breakfast’ to assist Stephen, Steven and James with their fundraising activities, so please come and support them, with all proceeds going directly to their fundraising allocations.  Thank you in advance! ⚜️

World Day of Prayer 2025

A service will be held on Friday 7 March at 8.00pm in St Bernadette’s Church followed by tea/coffee.  This year’s service has been prepared by women of the Cook Islands.

CHILDREN’S ACTIVITY AFTER CHURCH

As the number of children at coffee time has increased, we are aware of the need for some supervision in the St John’s Hall. If you would like to join a rota of volunteers to organise a game or activity for our children for half an hour after the church service, please email or speak to Sandy: sandykane48@proton.me.
